Who We Are
Afar Construction Corporation (ACC) is a multi-disciplinary construction enterprise headquartered in Semera, Afar National Regional State, Ethiopia. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality civil engineering and infrastructure solutions that support the growth and transformation of the Afar region and the country at large.
ACC operates as a government development agency accountable to the Public Enterprise Supervisory Authority. Our organization is built on integrity, professionalism, and innovation — providing reliable services in water resources, road and bridge construction, dam projects, and building works.
Our History and Background
The roots of Afar Construction Corporation date back to 1998 E.C., when the Afar Water Works Construction Enterprise was first established to manage water development projects in the region. As regional infrastructure needs expanded — particularly in roads, bridges, and energy supply — the government saw the need for a stronger, integrated enterprise.
In 2013 E.C., the Afar National Regional State Government officially restructured and re-established the organization as Afar Construction Corporation (ACC). This merger united the Afar Water Works Construction Enterprise and the Road Construction Sector, combining resources, expertise, and capacity to create a more powerful and efficient construction entity.
